The Fox Chase Cancer Center at Temple University Hospital combines the resources and expertise from two of the region’s most-respected healthcare providers. The Cancer Center brings together skilled doctors and staff who offer some of the world’s most advanced tests and treatments for all types of cancers. Patients have access to a wide range of clinical trials that are offered at both Temple and Fox Chase, which is one of only 45 hospitals in the U.S. designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute. Cancer patients who come to Fox Chase at Temple University Hospital will receive all of their care at Temple unless a test or treatment is available only at Fox Chase.
Fox Chase Cancer Center specialists in medical oncology, and Temple specialists in radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, hematology, surgical oncology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, urology, pathology and radiology are available to help plan and coordinate diagnosis and treatment. For gynecology patients, Fox Chase at Temple University Hospital has one of the busiest and most experienced gynecologic brachytherapy implant services in the region.
Most oncology treatments and services are available at one convenient location on the 4th floor of the Ambulatory Care Center at Temple University Hospital. Fox Chase at Temple University Hospital provides centralized services including:
- Registration and check in
- Financial counseling
- Onsite laboratory and pharmacy services
- Dietary counseling
- Pain management services
- Support services from trailed social workers and other professionals
The Fox Chase – Temple University Hospital Bone Marrow Transplant Program offers bone marrow transplantation for hematologic (blood or bone marrow) cancers. Services are provided on the Temple Health - Fox Chase Cancer Center campus.
The Department of Medical Oncology offers an accredited, three-year combined Hematology/Oncology fellowship for internists who have completed an approved residency program.
The Fox Chase Cancer Center at Temple University Hospital has been granted Three-Year Accreditation with Commendation by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Learn more.
