Welcome to the Temple Cancer Center

Temple Cancer Center

At Temple University Hospital Cancer Center, our highly skilled and compassionate staff provides the latest and most advanced diagnostic procedures and treatment options for all types of cancer. A multidisciplinary team of experienced, caring physicians and staff evaluates each patient and develops an individual treatment plan. The patient’s primary care physician, along with the patient and family, are involved in helping to determine the best course of therapy.

In addition, specialists in radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, hematology, neurology and pulmonology are available to help plan and coordinate diagnosis and treatment. For gynecology patients, Temple has one of the busiest and most experienced gynecologic brachytherapy implant services in the region.

Temple University Health System also offers bone marrow transplantation for hematologic (blood or bone marrow) cancers. Services are provided by the Temple Bone Marrow Transplant Program, located at Jeanes Hospital. The Program, now in its 20th year, performed its 1000th transplant in January 2008.

This complete range of oncology treatment and services is available at one convenient location in the new Ambulatory Care Center at Temple University Hospital. The Cancer Center provides convenient centralized services including: registration and check in, financial counseling, onsite laboratory and pharmacy services, dietary counseling and pain management services.
